These are pictures of the kitchen's makeover a few years ago

The kitchen as it looked from the early 70's through 1992 same wall as picture 1, but without the cabinets and appliances the new cabinets the new "modern" kitchen

This picture is also in the Dinning Room section. I put it here because it shows Wall 1 (with the door) better than any other picture.) Here is a view after painting has taking place. This is a perspective of the Kitchen from the Dinning Room. It also shows the new refrigerator.

This is a view of the floor

With all the pictures on this site, I had to take this one of the floor as it to will be replaced. :)

Here is a picture of the new floor in the kitchen.

2004

The kitchen goes through a some changes in order to create more space.

I moved the trash can from out of the pantry to its own cabinet. I also installed it on a rolling track for easy access.

Another view of the trash can in the out position.

The weekend project that took a few weekends was creating a new space for the refrigerator. To this point, the refrigerator. sat in the middle of the kitchen floor. Now that the pantry has been redone and a coat rack has been installed, there is no need for the closet between the dinning room and kitchen. The project was replacing that space by extending the living room wall and building a new wall separating the kitchen from the dinning room. The refrigerator will now fit flush with the wall in the kitchen creating more space.

The old coat closet after some of the dry wall came down.

Big Thanks to Brian Lipko for helping with eh demolition and framing on this project. Here he is perfecting his Jack Nicholson "The Shinning" imitation.

Another shot of Brian tearing down the wall. The hole where the coat closet used to be.

Its starting to look good as the spackle starts to dry. This project used a lot of spackle.

This is a better view of the new space.

Here you can see where the living room wall had to be expanded in order for this project to work.

The dinning room wall after it was painted.

This picture is very misleading in that the color actually marched very well. In this picture however it doesn't appear that way.

Here is eh extended living room wall after it was painted.

WOW! What a difference this project really made. It really opens up the kitchen.
