A view before demolition. Here you can see the brass hand rail as well as the "shag" carpet.	Here is the same stair case after the carpet has been removed. This is prior to sanding down the stairs and repairing the staple and nail holes.

Not much of a change during this phase. The staple marks from the carpet have been fixed, but its hard to tell here.	Here is a picture of the same staircase from the perspective of the second floor looking down.

2004 when the second floor was remodeled I also decided to carpet the steps again.
