Star Trek: The 3rd Phase takes place 100 years after the final mission of Picard and Riker's Enterprise. The coming attraction was made after the first two episodes were filmed. It's purpose is to promote the series on all new projects produced by GRP.

This piece uses footage from Star Trek, Star Trek: The Next Generation and the new episodes of the 3rd Phase in order to explain the evolution of Trek. It goes uncredited because nothing new has been added. Its 1st appearance was in the unreleased new version of Buddy Boys: The Movie (which eventually became the DVD version of the film.)
