In this special presentation, Golden Roll Productions goes behind the scenes of Salisbury State University's award winning game show. The focus of the film is to show the audience how the show went from conception to the air.
The special is hosted by Kim Gairy, who at one time was supposed to be a contestant on the show. Her worked scheduled conflicted with the time that Trivia Challenge taped. Wanting to remain a part of the production, she agreed to host this special when it was offered to her.
This production breaks down the show into numerous parts. First of all, the show starts off with the conception of the show. It shows scale rendering drawings and the scale model that Michael Mowery created as part of the design process. This was also to demonstrate the complexity of visualizing the set and then building it.
The next part deals with the actual set. It shows how the set was built and laid out. It then goes into the detail of the props used to give the show some personality. Some things featured here are: the Wheel of Fate, light buzzers, signs and logos.
Next up is a special section devoted especially to the sponsors. This section lets the audience see how the sponsors were approached and how the prizes they donated were utilized.
Finally the show interviews the crew. This allows the viewers to meet the people who brought the show to life every week. The crew talks about their jobs and their opinions of the show. This section also utilizes candid behind the scenes footage from some of the shows.
The program was well received by the campus community because it showed the time and effort spent by these people every week to bring the community original television programming.
